Things to do in Lancashire

Thai Rose & Bay Steakhouse - Serving authentic Thai cuisine, the food here is prepared by chef/owner Sarocha who has 25 years’ experience and came second in a cooking competition for the whole of Thailand. The menu is heavily influenced by the Isaan region and all main courses are individually prepared so they can be adapted to suit individual tastes. Morecambe Promenade - The seafront at Morecambe has undergone some dramatic changes over the past decade and the amazing promenade now stretches over five miles across the bay. The famous Stone Jetty has also been revamped becoming an area for public art and games.

Eric Morecambe Statue - No visit to Morecambe would be complete without seeing the statue of the town’s most famous son. The statue itself is a great tribute to the legendary comedian but the sayings and slogans surrounding it will bring back some fantastic memories of the great man.

The TERN Project - To celebrate the various birds and other diverse wildlife of Morecambe Bay, this project features a stunning array of award-winning sculptures situated along the seafront and promenade. You can also find a huge compass on the Stone Jetty and work out various puzzles to discover a strange mythical bird.

Happy Mount Park - Sitting just off Marine Road, this traditional family park has a wide range of modern facilities and attractions as well as a free splash park. There’s also a bowling green, miniature railway, swing boats, trampolines, habitat trails and crazy golf on offer so you’ll never be short of things to do.

Golf - Riverside Holiday Park is within minutes of the fantastic Morecambe Golf Club which has been dubbed “the gateway to the English Lake District”, providing glorious views of the Cumbrian mountains stretching out across the bay. The course itself is over a century old and offers some fiendishly difficult holes to test the very best of golfers.

Forest of Bowland - Just east of Lancaster, the Forest of Bowland is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty spread over 312 square miles of rural Lincolnshire. There are tons of activities to enjoy from scenic walks and cycling routes to star gazing and special events throughout the year.
